On September 30, it was announced that Jung Chan-woo, better known as Chanwoo, a member of the popular boy group iKON will be resuming his acting career as one of the leads in a rom-com cine-rama, which is a combination of both a film and a drama, ‘Chilling Co-Habitation’.
Chanwoo will be playing the role of Song Ji Chan, a second-generation ‘chaebol,’ who is selfish yet righteous and ends up as a ghost due to an accident. The actor will be seen working along with former GFRIEND member Sowon also known as Kim So Jung, who will be playing the role of Jung Se Ri. ‘Chilling Co-Habitation’ is set to be a mix of horror, romance and comedy. The plot follows Song Ji Chan, an accidental ghost and Jung Se Ri, a girl who can see ghosts who start co-habiting due to circumstances.
After a long nine years of his acting hiatus, the news of Chanwoo’s return created a storm on Twitter as fans trended the hashtag #WelcomeBackActorChanwoo.
Previously the artist/actor made his appearance in popular dramas such as ‘The Heirs’ and ‘Boys Over Flowers’ where he played the role of the younger version of the lead Lee Min Ho.
The upcoming cine-rama will be released as a film in the first half of 2022 at theatres and the drama version will be available on various OTT platforms and YouTube.
