Jennie delivers a stunning new MV!
On April 26 at 1 PM KST (9:30 AM IST), BLACKPINK’s Jennie unveiled the surreal music video for ‘Seoul City’, a track from her first full-length album ‘Ruby’. The video embraces a vintage-inspired aesthetic with a dreamy, laid-back vibe that perfectly complements the track’s mood. Showcasing a variety of Seoul’s landscapes and a range of striking looks, the MV offers a captivating and visually rich experience.
‘Seoul City’ is a captivating fusion of pop and mellow R&B, combining a smooth rhythm with a soothing melody. The track portrays Jennie’s connection with another person in a sultry, almost ethereal manner. Jennie contributed to writing the lyrics, adding a personal touch to the song.
Previously, during her ‘The Ruby Experience’ and Coachella performance, Jennie presented the song in a whimsical setting, featuring paired dance with her background dancers that set the tone for the track. The performance quickly garnered praise from fans for its captivating execution.
The music video for ‘Seoul City’ is the seventh track from Jennie’s album ‘Ruby’ to receive a music video, following the title track ‘Like JENNIE,’ along with ‘Handlebars’ featuring Dua Lipa, ‘Mantra,’ ‘ZEN,’ ‘Love Hangover’ featuring Dominic Fike, and ‘ExtraL’ featuring Doechii.
Earlier, Jennie also released an extended version of ‘Like JENNIE,’ featuring a Peggy Gou remix, offering a fresh take on the track with an enhanced beat and energy.
