Review: ‘Yumi’s Cells’- Confrontation (Episode 9 And 10)
Exercising cell
Exercising Cell is advised that they should exercise every day because it would assist Woong to get out of bad situations. It is around this time that Yumi discovers Woong has sold his house and lives at his workplace. She is furious that he didn’t tell her everything. Yumi calms down a little after Exercising Cell does the ‘What’s Wrong’ thing. He declines Yumi’s invitation to accompany her to her home. Yumi becomes enraged once more, but Exercising Cell recalls the one tip his master told him. When ‘What’s Wrong’ can’t control what’s wrong, just answer yes, so Woong agrees to accompany Yumi.
Chore Cell
Yumi is the polar opposite of Woong, who has a propensity for cleaning and managing things precisely. Woong’s and Yumi’s Chore Cells are like north and south, respectively. Woong takes charge of cleaning Yumi’s residence and also gets up early to prepare breakfast for her. Woong also manages to clean and arrange volumes in the shelf book according to their titles. The large contrast between the two Chore Cells astounds Reason Cell.
Reason Cell on Woong Land
After observing such a significant disparity between Chore Cells, Reason Cell asks Love Cell about Woong’s Chore Cell. Because Woong’s cells have a scientific system that operates him, Love Cell claims she has never met him. Reason Cell is both surprised and excited to see the science lab. He requests Love Cell to use a wormhole to transport him there. He is sent into the wormhole by her. When he spots a large dinosaur, he realizes it is Woong’s Lustsaurus Cell, which scares Reason Cell a lot. He decides to never go to Woong’s Cell Village again.
Woong’s Birthday
Yumi plans a birthday surprise for Woong and tells him that she would not be returning home. But, she has everything planned for him, including the cake and dinner. She hides and waits for Woong’s arrival, but Woong arrives and then leaves. Yumi notices a keyboard left on the table and contacts Woong to ask him about it. The keyboard turns out to be a gift for her because she will be working in the Marketing department. After she calls Woong upstairs, the two of them celebrate his birthday together. Out of the blue, she proposes to Woong to get married.
Episode 12 picks up where the previous episode left us. Woong is surprised by Yumi’s sudden marriage proposal; his cells also wonder if they should accept it or not. However, two sharks thwart the Marriage Proposal Cell, and we get an answer, a ‘NO’.
Yumi acts like it is fine, but when he leaves, we get to know that she is disappointed by his choice. Woong knows this too and wants to address this issue. But due to a twist of fate, our lead couple, along with Ugi, Ruby, and Bobby, end up getting drinks together.
A New Threat
It’s hilarious to see a drunk Woong as his cells try to keep him awake. Outside the bar, Woong tries to keep himself conscious, hanging onto a pole, as Bobby takes off his jacket to give to Yumi. A drunk Woong decides the best choice would be not to get mad but hand his jacket to Bobby.
We know Woong feels threatened by Bobby, believing that he likes Yumi. But all we know is that Bobby likes someone with the letter ‘U’ in her name, so it could very well be Ruby. And even though Yumi is fully devoted to Woong, his brain comes up with ideas on his own especially since his self-confidence is at an all-time low.
With only a few more episodes to go, we wonder how the ending will be. Will Woong and Yumi get married? Or will something sabotage their relationship? We can’t wait to find out what happens next!
