MAMAMOO’s Wheein Parts Ways with RBW + Continues to Participate in Group Activities

 

MAMAMOO’s Wheein is officially parting ways with RBW!

 

On June 11th, RBW has confirmed that Wheein will not be renewing her contract with the agency. However, she will continue to take part in MAMAMOO’s group activities.

 

RBW has issued the following statement,

“Hello, this is RBW.

First of all, we would like to sincerely thank everyone, including both Korea and international MooMoo, for loving and supporting MAMAMOO.

We have renewed our contracts with 3 members of MAMAMOO- Solar, Moonbyul, and Hwasa. It was based on mutual faith and trust, and we promise to give them our generous support so that they can fulfil their dreams in music and various fields.

Wheein has been in in-depth discussions with us like the remaining members for a long time. In the end, she chose not to renew her contract. Thus, we would like to inform you that our exclusive contract with Wheein will be terminated.

We respect her choice, and we sincerely wish Wheein, who is starting a new chapter in life, happiness and good fortune. We would like to thank her for shining with us for the past seven years.

However, all four members have unchanging affection for MAMAMOO, so Wheein signed an extended agreement to participate in few group activities, including albums and concerts, until December 2023. MAMAMOO’s music will continue as much as the immense love fans have sent them. We will inform you about the specific future activities later.

MAMAMOO is currently preparing for their summer concert. They will show good music and activities separately and together as MooMoo’s best friend. So, please continue to give them warm encouragement and support.

MAMAMOO made their debut in 2014 and this is their seventh year as a group. They recently made a comeback with their 11th mini-album “WAW.”
