LE SSERAFIM to Release Theme Song for Netflix’s ‘My Melody & Kuromi’
On June 12, Netflix Japan dropped the official trailer for the upcoming stop-motion animation series ‘My Melody & Kuromi’, revealing LE SSERAFIM as its official OST artist.

LE SSERAFIM will be lending their voices to the animated series’ theme song, ‘Kawaii (Prod. Gen Hoshino)’, marking their first collaboration with Gen Hoshino.
‘Kawaii’ is a playful, upbeat track featuring dynamic beats, unexpected chord changes, and a nostalgic melody that captures the charm of Sanrio’s beloved characters. LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin contributed to the lyrics and shared, “I hope everyone will listen to the song and appreciate the lyrics,” emphasizing the song’s heartfelt message. The track highlights the show’s central theme: that cuteness is a powerful force that can be one’s strength.
Produced by renowned Japanese singer-songwriter Gen Hoshino, the song reflects the colorful worldview of ‘My Melody & Kuromi’, which celebrates My Melody’s 50th anniversary and Kuromi’s 20th. The animation promises a whimsical, emotional journey through friendship, identity, and self-expression. A snippet of the song is already featured in the official trailer on Netflix’s YouTube channel.
‘Kawaii’ will also be included in LE SSERAFIM’s fourth Japanese single album, ‘DIFFERENT’.

Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM is currently on their first world tour, the ‘2025 LE SSERAFIM TOUR ‘EASY CRAZY HOT’.
‘Kawaii’ is set to release on all major streaming platforms on July 24, with ‘My Melody & Kuromi’ also premiering the same day on Netflix.
