Actress Lee Sung Kyoung joins Fantagio.
On July 11, Fantagio confirmed through their social media that ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo’ actress Lee Sung Kyoung has joined the agency. Fantagio released a short video featuring Lee Sung Kyoung holding a piece of paper that reads “Welcome to the FANTAGIO,” while multiple people can be seen recording her on their phones, with the sound of camera shutters and cheers in the background. Lee Sung Kyoung had been with YG Entertainment for approximately 11 years since 2014, but parted ways with the agency after it decided to close its actor management division earlier this year. Reports of her joining Fantagio surfaced last month but were officially confirmed by the agency today.
Lee Sung Kyoung began her career in 2008 as a model before making her acting debut in SBS’s ‘It’s Okay, That’s Love’ in 2014. She has since delivered notable performances in dramas such as ‘Cheese in the Trap’, ‘The Doctors’, ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo’, ‘Dr. Romantic 2’, and more. Currently, she is set to appear in the JTBC drama ‘The Nice Guy’, alongside Lee Dong Wook, which is scheduled to premiere on July 18.
Meanwhile, Fantagio is home to ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, Ong Seong Wu, Kim Seon Ho, and more.
Wishing Lee Sung Kyoung the best in her new journey!
