In a world where the living and the dead coexist in equal chaos, the drama ‘Oh My Ghost Clients’ brings a refreshing twist to the supernatural comedy genre.

Starring Jung Kyung-ho, Seol In-ah, and Cha Hak-yeon, the 10-episode series premiered its first two episodes on May 30 and 31. It airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM KST (6:20 PM IST) on MBC, with streaming also available on Netflix.

‘Oh My Ghost Clients,’ also known as ‘Labor Attorney No Mu-jin,’ is a supernatural horror comedy that follows labor attorney No Mu-jin, a man with no sense of justice who will go to any lengths for money and success. After a near-death experience, he’s forced to make a deal with a deity called Bodhisattva to settle the grudges of wandering spirits who have been wronged.

This brings us to our main character:

No Mu-jin (played by Jung Kyung-ho)

The series quickly captured viewers’ attention with its witty humor and chilling mystery. The first episode lays the groundwork for supernatural chaos, while the second delivers a heartfelt tale of injustice and redemption. We’re introduced to No Mu-jin—messy, frustrated, and burnt out from chasing a crypto-fueled dream that left his life in ruins.

He’s no hero. He’s a man clinging to pride and ambition, pulled into shady scams by his sharp-tongued sister-in-law and influencer friend. He wants nothing to do with helping others, let alone restless spirits. But somewhere amid the chaos, viewers catch a flicker of humanity that hints at something deeper.

His two partners-in-crime:

Na Hee-joo (played by Seol In-ah)

Hee-joo is a beauty influencer, currently unemployed and struggling to grow her follower count. She’s quick-witted, fiery, and unafraid to take risks. It’s her idea to use Mu-jin’s legal skills to frame companies for profit.

Go Gyeong-woo (played by Cha Hak-yeon)

Gyeong-woo is a YouTuber focused on viral content. With his sweet, charming personality, he often persuades people to help the team. He’s also completely smitten with Hee-joo.

The Mysterious Deity / Bodhisattva (played by Tang Jun-sang)

This enigmatic figure leads Mu-jin into the ghost world and helps him understand his new role. Dressed in denim, not your typical shaman wear, his true identity and intentions remain unclear. His familiarity with Mu-jin, including owning his business card, hints at a deeper supernatural link. This encounter kickstarts Mu-jin’s reluctant journey as a “ghost-seeing labor attorney.”

A Take on Episodes 1 & 2

Episode 1

The series opens with Mu-jin confronting a steel factory’s management about unsafe conditions, just before nearly being crushed by falling metal. The story flashes back two years: after quitting a stable job for a crypto venture, Mu-jin loses everything when his partner dies. Jobless, divorced, and broke, he returns to being a labor attorney but struggles to find clients.

One drunken night, he leaves his business card on what he thinks is a statue. Soon, Hee-joo and Gyeong-woo rope him into faking labor violations for quick cash. It works until a dangerous factory job brings him face-to-face with death. In the supernatural realm, a burning man offers him a second chance if he agrees to help spirits wronged by corporate negligence. Desperate, Mu-jin accepts.

Episode 2

Mu-jin escapes death at the factory, albeit embarrassingly wetting himself. On his way home, he sees a ghost in his car: Lee Min-uk, a student who died in a factory accident. Though skeptical, Hee-joo and Gyeong-woo encourage him to listen.

Through visions and investigation, Mu-jin learns how the factory exploited Min-uk and coerced his mother into a quick settlement. The team digs deeper, and Gyeong-woo goes undercover, befriending Nimal, Min-uk’s old roommate. Nimal eventually shares a video proving that the factory heads left Min-uk to die.

Justice prevails: the management is arrested, and Min-uk’s spirit finds peace after his mother hears her son’s words through Mu-jin. But just when things seem to settle, Mu-jin nearly gets struck by a falling wire, proving his ghostly duties are far from over.

Questions and Theories

With quirky hauntings, workplace tension, and unpredictable laughs, the first two episodes leave viewers curious and hooked.

  • What are the real terms of the contract Mu-jin signed? Does it come with a hidden cost?
  • What kind of ghosts will he encounter, and can they all be trusted?
  • How will these supernatural cases affect his already messy personal life?
  • And what are the Bodhisattva’s true intentions in choosing Mu-jin?

With ghostly justice, moral dilemmas, and corporate corruption tangled together, one big question remains: How far would you go to right the wrongs of the dead?
