Don’t we all love to discover new information about our favourite idols? The exhilarating feeling when we find out our birthday falls on the same month as our bias, the amazement that spikes up when we find out our bias produced the songs for their upcoming album and the excitement over finding out our bias wants to visit our country is ineffable.
Learning facts about idols we are interested in is like receiving an assortment of chocolates we love. So here we have a list of idols for you who have lived abroad for a considerable amount of time!
1. Han Ji Sung – Stray Kids
You might already be aware of the Aussie line from Stray Kids. Leader Bang Chan and member Lee Felix were born and brought up in Australia. Both of them are well known for being the English speakers of the group. However, did you know that member Han has also spent much of his childhood abroad? Though he was born in South Korea, he lived and studied in Malaysia. Han moved back to his home country to fulfil his dream and debuted with Stray Kids in 2017.
2. Chungha
Did you know that the queen of solos, Chungha can fluently speak English? She was born in South Korea but lived in Dallas, Texas for around eight years! She is a former member of girl group I.O.I who debuted in 2016 and made her debut as a soloist later in 2017. Here’s another interesting fact about her! While living in Texas, she went by her English name ‘Annie Kim.’ .
3. Lee Dae Hwi – AB6IX
Former JYP trainee and Wanna One member, Dae Hwi of AB6IX has spent most of his childhood in different countries. This isn’t surprising to many considering his English skills. He lived in Los Angeles, California for a period of six years. He also lived in Osaka, Japan for some time. Did you know that ‘David’ is his English name and ‘Daiki‘ his Japanese name? He debuted with Wanna One in 2017. Currently, he is a member of AB6IX who debuted on 22nd May 2019.

4. CL
The next idol on our list is CL. The former member of 2NE1 was born in Seoul but later on lived in Japan and France. Brace yourself to be awed because the next piece of information we are about to give you will surprise you! Apart from her fluency in English, she is also a polyglot who speaks Korean, Japanese, and French! CL debuted with 2NE1 in 2009 and as a soloist in 2013.
5. Young K – Day6
Brian Kang more famously known as Young K spent around four years of his life in Toronto, Canada. Initially Young K‘s dream was to become a basketball player. However, he was selected to audition for JYP while being a member of a musical trio named ‘3rd Degree.’ He debuted with Day6 in 2015.
