According to a music industry insider, Rain intends to debut a male solo artist and is amidst a global project to produce a seven member boy group with both  Korean and international members.

The source also reported that not only has Rain Company been holding auditions to scout new talents and passions but has also met with various broadcasting station representatives a few times regarding this

Soon after the reports, a source from within Rain Company confirmed that Rain is planning a global project to launch a male solo artist and multinational boy group and also added that preparations began late last year and that the company is currently in the stage of internal planning. The agency also revealed that the artists will be announced in late 2019 or 2020.

These artists will be Rain’s first to debut under Rain Company which was established back in 2015.
