Na-Eun has left A-PINK officially.
According to The Fact, Na-Eun is leaving A-PINK ahead of the female group’s 11th anniversary as she is unable to balance her idol and acting careers. A source from The Fact stated, “Na-Eun decided she can no longer participate in A Pink’s activities due to other schedules at the same time.”
Na-Eun debuted with A-PINK in 2011 and she was the first member of the group. In 2012, she made her acting debut as the teenage Hae-in in the historical drama “The Great Seer.” She has starred in various television shows such as “My Kids Give Me a Headache,” “Second 20s,” “The Cinderella with Four Knights,” “The Most Beautiful Goodbye,” “Dinner Mate,” and “Ghost Doctor.”
On April 2021, Na-Eun departed from Play M Entertainment after 10 years with the label. However, she said that she will still continue as a member of the group and will participate in their 10th anniversary album later in the year. Later in May 2021, she signed a contract with YG Entertainment as an actress.
On April 8, 2022, it was reported that Na-Eun would be withdrawing from the group due to difficulty balancing work as both an actress and idol. This was later confirmed by IST Entertainment via the group’s fancafe.
According to reports, Na-Eun is closing up her A-PINK promotions after consulting with IST Entertainment , YG Entertainment and the group members, and all parties are in her support. In response of the report, IST Entertainment has confirmed and stated that, “After discussion with the two companies and A-PINK members, Na-Eun has decided to conclude her group activities.”
Fans had predicted that Na-Eun would leave the group early this year, thus the news of her departure came as a shock.
On February 14, 2022, A-PINK released their fourth studio album “Horn,” as well as the lead single “Dilemma.” On April 19, A-PINK will release their 11th anniversary song, but it’s unclear whether Na-Eun will be a part of it.
