On June 11 at midnight KST, global HYBE girl groups LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, and KATSEYE released the music video for their collaborative track, ‘ICONIC BY MISTAKE,’ bringing together each group’s distinct charm, sound, and style.
‘ICONIC BY MISTAKE’ blends hyperpop beats with sharp lyrics and a catchy hook as the three groups call out the cycle of online hate and burnout. The line, “I am iconic by mistake,” highlights how the criticism and backlash itself became their spotlight. Driven by powerful beats and unconventional sounds, the track instantly captures the listener’s attention.
The music video captures the track’s explosive energy, as each group brings its own narrative to life through distinctive visual aesthetics and addictive choreography, uniting KATSEYE’s global pop edge, LE SSERAFIM’s bold charisma, and ILLIT’s fresh, youthful energy in one unexpected anthem.
Ahead of the track’s official release, the group will reveal its first-ever performance on Mnet’s M Countdown today, June 11.
‘ICONIC BY MISTAKE’ will be released on all music platforms on June 12 at 1 PM KST (9:30 PM IST).
