Kim Woojin makes his much-awaited comeback with 2nd mini album. On August 30, the 2nd mini-album ‘The Moment: 美成年, Bounce‘ consisting of a total of 6 tracks, including the official music video for ‘On My Way’ was officially released.
This album conveys the diverse feelings associated with coming-of-age in an appealing and exciting way. Through its songs, the second album portrays coming of age to individualism, self-assurance, uplifting energy, and passion. The album talks about overcoming the worry, struggle, and frustration someone faces to become a fully grown adult; the desire to lead a unique, independent existence, the drive to pursue his own ambitions, the first heart-fluttering moment with someone, and the freedom to live wherever his heart desires.
‘On my Way’, the album’s lead single, sings about having an optimistic attitude, resisting outside pressure, and remaining true to oneself. With the loud, punk rock band sound and Woojin’s strong, never-before-seen vocal delivery, the song has a unique vibe. The Music video also complements the song, having a soothing and refreshing summer vibe. The overall vibe of the MV is cheerful with chill and easy-to-follow choreography, offering a perfect track for a summer playlist.
‘Song of Icarus,’ the second track in the album is inspired by Greek mythology and focuses on moving forward toward one’s dreams with a hopeful sound. Then comes ‘Telepathy’ which evokes a sense of connection, a feeling of falling in love for the first time, and a fresh, heart-fluttering feeling throughout. The fourth track ‘Drive Away’ is about going wherever the heart wants, away from everyday life’s complications and worries. Last but not least, ‘Tryin’ is about the irony of trying to forget the feelings one has for someone they love, with a playful rhythm and repeating hook.
The album ends with the track ‘Say Something To Me,’ which was pre-released on August 4th. It is a deep, honest story, emphasizing the acoustic guitar and Woojin’s dreamy, whispering voice.
Adding to the excitement, Kim Woojin is going to perform ‘On My Way’ on ‘It’s Live’ on August 31st at 5 PM KST (1:30 PM IST).
