Cignature Unveils A Summry, Romantic EP, ‘Us in the Summer’

On August 29, 2023, the girl group ‘cignature’ released their 4th extended play, ‘Us in the Summer.’ 

This marks cignature’s fourth EP release, comprising four tracks: ‘Mess With My Mind,’ ‘Sorry So Sorry,’ ‘Little Me,’ and the title track ‘Smooth Sailing,’ which is accompanied by a music video. The EP’s concept explores the experiences of young girls as they navigate through various aspects of youth, including love, heartbreak, and self-discovery.

The storyline kicks off with ‘어젯밤 이야기 (Mess With My Mind),’ where the girls discuss the intricate aspects of love. This is followed by the leading track ‘안녕, 인사해 (Smooth Sailing),’ which narrates a tale of puppy love. Subsequently, ‘Sorry So Sorry’ portrays the act of leaving a desired love due to overwhelming worries. The EP concludes with ‘Little Me,’ an effort to provide comfort to a nervous inner child.

cignature is a seven-member who marked their debut on February 4, 2020, under J9 Entertainment. The group consists of seven individuals: JEEWON, SEMI, CHAESOL, BELLE, SELINE, CHLOE, and DOHEE. J9 Entertainment operates as a subsidiary of C9 Entertainment, overseeing the management of artists like CIX, EPEX, YOUNHA, and LEESEOKHOON. In the year 2022, they achieved the Blooming Star Award at the Hanteo Music Awards. Currently, they boast two music videos, namely ‘AURORA’ and ‘Boyfriend,’ which have both garnered more than 10 million views on YouTube.

For this particular release, cignature is promoting as a six-member group, with BELLE temporarily absent due to her participation in the SBS audition program, Universe Ticket.
