We had previously reported that Super Junior‘s Siwon was cast as the male lead in KBS 2‘s upcoming drama.
‘My Fellow Citizens‘, KBS 2’s new Monday-Tuesday drama has just dropped their first teaser. The drama starring Choi Siwon, Lee Yoo Young, Kim Min Jung, Tae In Ho, and more, is a comedy crime drama that revolves around the story of a conman who is married to a police officer, somehow gets caught up in various unplanned incidents, and ends up running to become a member of the National Assembly. It is directed by Kim Jung Hyun and written by Han Jung Hoon.
Siwon will be playing the character of Yang Jeong Kook, a conman born in a family that commits fraud as their family business. The story is based on him trying to earn money to marry his girlfriend for which he decides to scam a loan shark, but ends up getting scammed himself.
Lee Yoo Young will be playing the character of Kim Mi Young, once a school bully but turns a new leaf in her life and ends up becoming a police officer. She is part of an intellectual crime investigation team who catches conmen.
In the teaser video, the married couple, Yang Jeong Kook and Kim Mi Young are seen lying to each other and are also suspicious about each other. They both lie about being at work and at a business meeting, respectively but are actually doing their “actual work” of being a conman and a police officer. They both end up meeting on the road and lie, again, saying their work got over or cancelled.
The first teaser definitely makes one curious to know how the couple ended up getting married, and how their story will unfold. The drama is scheduled to air on 25th March. Watch the first teaser below –
