On June 7, K-Pop soloist and the former leader/main-vocal of the girl group SISTAR, Kim Hyo Jung or better known by her stage name Hyolyn had released a teaser for her series titled ‘Ramblings’, written and composed by the artist herself.
The teaser saw the artist getting inspiration from any and all things in her life. As for the description it said, “Just talking with myself, my own story” indicating that the series had a far deeper value for the artist.
Later on June 15, the artist released her first self-composed song under ‘Ramblings’ titled ‘Happiness…’ Using music as a medium to convey her emotions, while at the same time letting the world know more about her, the artist describes the inspiration for the song and the deep emotion behind it by using the following sentence.
“I don’t want to miss the happiness that comes to me and I don’t want to lose it, so I think it makes me more afraid and anxious.”
Recently on October 8, after nearly 3 months, the artist released another of her self-composed songs titled ‘W.O.E’ under the ‘Ramblings’ series. The emotions this time feel different. Her previous song under the same series started with a bit of cheer then turned anxious, meanwhile ‘W.O.E’ begins with a hint of neutrality then taking on a form of hope and finally into something powerful. The artist quotes ‘W.O.E’ as
“I hope I can shake off negative emotions that have a bad influence on me, such as worries, worries, and anxiety.”
In between those 3 months, the artist released yet another song titled ‘To Find A Reason’, another beautiful song with strong emotions and heart soothing vocals which conveyed the meaning of finding a reason to live.
Hyolyn debuted as a solo artist on November 23, 2013, with her full-length album ‘Love & Hate’, which garnered much attention and popularity. The artist’s passion for music made her found her own music label ‘Bridʒ’, pronounced as ‘Bridge’ which symbolizes the bridge that the artist hopes to build between the world and music productions of all forms.
