Ahead of his solo debut, GOT7’s Youngjae dropped another video on his official Youtube channel on October 2.
The video titled ‘’VIBIN’ Previewed It Beforehand’ has the GOT7 members listening and reacting to Youngjae’s title track ‘Vibin’ from his upcoming solo debut mini-album ‘COLORS from Ars.’
In true GOT7 fashion, the members have their fun making jokes while carefully listening to and projecting their thoughts about the track.
While Jay B initially struggles a bit at expressing his views, he later goes on to put forward his thoughts that the song reminds him of Youngjae during his musical days to which Youngjae comments that the song indeed has some ‘sha la la’ vibes.
During the reaction, Yugyeom describes the song as fresh and that it definitely suits the artist. Later on, Bambam shares his thoughts on how the song can be sung under a clear sky on top of a vintage car (this may possibly be a spoiler as Youngjae can be seen smiling towards this comment.)
In the end, the members are asked to share the words or things that they could think of while listening to the song. Yugyeom mentions the colour blue along with an open meadow and Youngjae’s smiling face, whereas Jay B connects the song to surfing and also jokingly comments on how it could be used for an advertisement by automobiles, especially car manufacturing companies. Bambam, on the other hand, imagines and compares the song with a scenario of driving an old car on the road lined with palm trees under a bright blue sky.
Regarding his upcoming album, Youngjae mentions how he wants to let his fans know his ‘colors’ through the album. He also wishes for GOT7’s name to be more known through his solo efforts.
The friendship between the GOT7 members can be clearly seen as they are enjoying and laughing throughout the video. Bambam even jokingly wonders if they would be able to get an award as a rookie since they are all debuting as solo artists and if they should consider each other competitors. But in general, they all feel proud of the music that they are putting forward and continue to support each other throughout their journey.
Youngjae’s solo mini-album ‘COLORS from Ars’ will be released on October 5 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST).
