Drama Update: ‘Weather Forecast People: Cruel Story of Office Romance’

A New Romantic Series featuring Park Min Young and Song Kang announces February Release.

JTBC announced the release of the new drama “Weather Forecast People: Cruel Story of Office Romance” starring Park Min Young and Song Kang by releasing a teaser poster on January 7, 2021.

The poster shows the two main leads, Jin Ha Kyung (played by Park Min Young) and Lee Si Woo (played by Song Kang) staring passionately at each other while sitting far from each other oozing emotions. The caption on the poster read- “I’m in trouble. Because I keep liking you more and more.”

The teaser videos were shared on January 5, 2021, showcasing the main concept of the show, where in the first teaser both Jin Ha Kyung and Lee Si Woo are working inside the Meteorological Administration’s Situation Room while making eye contact and smiling. The show’s setup of work at Korea Meteorological Administration is in direct correlation to the unpredictable nature of love, which can happen at any place, time, and with anyone.

The second teaser shows Lee Si Woo following Jin Ha Kyung at night as he is in awe of her while she reacts with a reassuring smile.

The production team highlighted the fact of the drama being the first-ever Korean Drama which takes into account the lives of people working in the Meteorological Department. They added that “these teaser videos fully preview the (romantic) atmosphere with only the two actors’ gazes and smiles, without any lines, capture their heart-fluttering chemistry perfectly.”

Even the lead characters’ personalities are in sharp contrast to each other. Jin Ha Kyung, portrayed by Park Min Young is a general forecaster who loves to keep everything planned and perfect while not juggling private and professional lives, whereas Lee Si Woo played by Song Kang plays a special reporter with an IQ of 150, who is funky and fun-loving.

The drama looks promising with the visually appealing cast and a new storyline with a romantic touch to it. We look forward to the release date.
