Korean artists shines at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards!
The 2023 MTV VMAs, took place at the Prudential Center in New Jersey, on September 12. K-Pop Groups like Stray Kids and TOMORROW X TOGETHER graced the event with their performances, whereas Jungkook and BLACKPINK didn’t attend the award show.

BTS’ Jungkook created history as the first male K-Pop Soloist to win the non K-Pop category award ‘Song of Summer‘ for his solo debut single ‘Seven ft.Latto‘, surpassing other nominees Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Dua Lipa and more.

BLACKPINK also became the only K-Pop girl group to win ‘Group of the Year‘ Award. Their victory also marks the first time a girl group has won this award in 24 years, the last being TLC in 1999. The girls also clinched the ‘Best Choreography‘ award for ‘Pink Venom,’ choreographed by Kiel Tutin, Sienna Lalau, Lee Jung (YGX), and Taryn Cheng (YGX).

Stray Kids won ‘Best K-Pop‘ for ‘S-Class,’ the title track of their third full-length album ‘★★★★★ (5-STAR)’. Other nominees in the category included aespa (Girls), BLACKPINK (Pink Venom), Fifty Fifty (Cupid), TOMORROW X TOGETHER (Sugar Rush Ride), SEVENTEEN (Super). The group made their performance debut at the award show with their electrifying performance of S-Class.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER took home the ‘PUSH Performance of the Year‘ award with ‘Sugar Rush Ride’ from their fifth mini album ‘The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION.’ Other nominees in the category included Saucy Santana (Booty), Stephen Sanchez (Until I Found You), JVKE (golden hour), and more.They delivered a dynamic performance of their collaborative track ‘Back For More’ with Brazilian singer Anitta.
