On January 24, BigHit Music shared the news of j-hope opening the charity event at the La Défense Arena in Nanterre at the personal invitation of France’s First Lady. j-hope performed three tracks (solo version of ‘on the street,’ orchestra arrangements of ‘More,’ and the BTS song ‘MIC Drop’) in front of 35,000 spectators at the event. j-hope, through his agency, said, “I’m truly honored to reconnect with my fans in Europe after such a long time. Once again, I’ve come to appreciate how rewarding it is to share hope and comfort through my music. I would love to perform here again whenever the chance comes.” The event was organized to raise funds by a hospital foundation chaired by the First Lady.
This performance marks j-hope’s first show after his return from the mandatory military service of almost two years. He previously made an appearance at Louis Vuitton’s Fall-Winter 2025 fashion show in Paris. Previously, on January 10, he released a YouTube video ‘Beginning of a New Dream’ with the caption “2025.03,” hinting at a new musical project, possibly in March. j-hope will also embark on his first-ever solo concert tour, ‘Hope On The Stage,’ which will kick off in Seoul next month and then continue across 15 more cities worldwide.
Stay tuned for more updates!
