Sensational boy band BTS collaborate with Japanese rock band Back Number for an OST in an upcoming Japanese movie ‘Signal’ who’s theme song is named ‘Film Out.’ They boys never fail to amaze their fans. The film is an adaptation of a Japanese drama with the same name and is set to release on April 2. 2021.
Back Number is a three-membered rock power band that formed in 2004 and its members are Hisashi Kurihara, Iyori Shimizu, and Kazuya Kojima. ‘Christmas Song’ is one of their hugest hits that grabbed number one on the charts of Japan Hot 100 for three weeks.
BTS previously worked on an Japanese OST ‘Your Eyes Tell’ for the movie with the same name that released in 2020, which starred Japanese actors Ryusei Yokohama and Yuriko Yoshitaka. This movie is a remake of a 2011 Korean film ‘Always’ in which So Ji Sub and Han Hyo Joo were casted as the main leads.
The theme song ‘Your Eyes Tell’ was co-written by Jeon Jungkook and released on July 15, 2020 as a part of BTS’s fourth Japanese album, Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey and for ‘Film Out’ we have producer Jungkook back in the house!
Iyori Shimizu and Jungkook has co-produced ‘Film Out’ and reports say that Jungkook suggested a fresh melody line after being inspired by Shimizu’s original melody. The Official Japan Fan Club of BTS say that melody is an emotional and impactful ballad that explores into the concept where one returns to the person whom they are unable to forget. On February 16th a preview was released that featured Jungkook’s voice. He said “Yes, I participated! I want to tell you soon!” ARMYs again proved to be the strongest fandom and trended #PRODJK to congratulate him on Twitter.

This upcoming film is an adaptation of a 2018 Japanese mini drama with the same name for which BTS sang the OST ‘Don’t Leave Me.’ This song was a part of their third Japanese album ‘Face Yourself.’ The Japanese drama has 10 episodes. Another interesting fact is that this drama was a remake of the original Korea Drama that released in 2016.
