On February 7, YG Entertainment announced that BIGBANG will be making their grand comeback with a new song. The agency released a statement that stated that the group has finished recording their new song, which will be released this spring and is currently preparing to shoot a music video.
The group will be returning after four years of hiatus due to the mandatory military duties of the members. Although not much is known about the date of the return or the title of the new song, the fans are still excited to see their idols in action once again.
BIGBANG will be returning as a group with members: G-Dragon, Taeyang, Daesung and T.O.P. Meanwhile the agency also shared another news about the group; T.O.P, the lead rapper of the group, will be leaving the agency after 16 years.
After the end of the exclusive contract with YG Entertainment, T.O.P has decided to part ways. Supporting the decision of the artist and his desire to broaden the scope of his visions as an artist and entrepreneur, the agency wished him good luck. It was also stated that the artist will always be a part of BIGBANG and will be participating in the group’s activities according to his schedule.
BIGBANG debuted in 2006 during YG Family’s 10th-anniversary concert at Seoul’s Olympic Gymnastics Arena. They are known as the ‘Kings of Kpop’ and are a legend in the industry. The group released their last digital single ‘Flower Road’ in March 2018 and promised their fans a return as the flowers bloom.
