Won Ji An is set to star alongside Park Seo Joon in a new drama!
On February 18, jtbc confirmed that Won Ji An will be joining their upcoming romantic comedy, ‘Waiting for Gyeongdo’ (literal title), as the female lead. She has been cast opposite Park Seo Joon, who was previously confirmed as the male lead.
‘Waiting for Gyeongdo’ revolves around former lovers Lee Gyeong Do (Park Seo Joon) and Seo Ji Woo (Won Ji An). The two first fell in love at the age of 20 and then again at 28 before breaking up. Years later, they cross paths when Gyeong Do becomes the journalist covering the scandalous affair centered around Ji Woo’s husband.
Won Ji An portrays Seo Ji Woo, a bold and confident woman known as a celebrity troublemaker. But behind all the glamor and fame, she struggles with a failing marriage due to her husband’s infidelity, which ultimately leads to a public divorce.
The anticipation is high for a drama filled with romance, comedy, heartbreak, nostalgia, and an unexpected reunion. After her remarkable performance in ‘Squid Game Season 2,’ all eyes are on Won Ji An as she takes on a completely different genre from her previous work.
‘Waiting for Gyeongdo’ is set to air in 2025.
