‘D Awards With UPICK’ Announces The First Lineup Of Artists

The first edition of the K-Pop Idol Awards ceremony, ‘D Awards with UPICK’ has announced its first lineup of artists.

On January 6, the D Awards secretariat confirmed the first lineup of artists for their first-ever award ceremony. The lineup includes five acts—ENHYPEN, QWER, FIFTY FIFTY, TWS, and UNIS.

The ‘D Awards with UPICK’ is hosted by media outlet Sports DongA and organized by UPICK and WSM. The ‘D Awards with UPICK’ will recognize outstanding K-Pop artists in two major categories—‘D Awards Delights’ and ‘D Awards Dreamers’. The former will recognize top artists who have made an impact over the past year, while the latter will celebrate the rookies of K-Pop who will lead the future of the industry.

Additional award categories will include ‘Artist of the Year’, ‘Album of the Year’, ‘Song of the Year’, ‘Performance of the Year’, and ‘Globalist of the Year’. There will also be a category for the ‘ICONIC Award’ which will recognize outstanding artists whose global activities positively impacted the future of the K-Pop industry.

The first ‘D Awards with UPICK’ will be held on February 22 at the Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium, Seoul, at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST).
