On May 23, tvN @tvn_drama opened a pop-up store of official goods from the series, ‘Lovely Runner‘ today in Seoul, South Korea. Held at The Hyundai Seoul B2F Iconic Pop-up Zone in Yeouido, western Seoul, the pop-up store started today and will be open to the public till May 29.
tvN officially announced the store opening on May 17 as a response to the drama’s huge popularity among viewers. The pop-up store will bring a wide variety of merchandise for the fans to choose from. Some official goods from the store include poster sets, stickers, acrylic stands, badges, key rings, acrylic name tags, t-shirts, and more. Store-special events will also be organized for the visitors to win exciting prizes.
The event has only an on-site registration facility and will be open from 10:30 AM KST (7 AM IST) to 8 PM KST (4:30 PM IST) from Monday to Thursday. The timing has been extended till 8:30 PM KST (5 PM IST) from Friday to Sunday.
The pop-up store is already gaining popularity among fans. A long queue of fans extending outside the store was observed today. Actor Heo Hyeong Gyu @heo_hk visited the pop-up store, videos of which were shared by his agency KeyEast Entertainment @keyeastofficial.
‘Lovely Runner’, which began airing on April 8, has garnered love from fans across the globe. The show has gained the highest viewership ratings. The drama starring Byeon Woo Seok @byeonwooseok and Kim Hye Yoon @hye_yoon1110 secured the first position in viewership on the OTT platform Rakuten Viki in 130 regions. As per Viki, the series has recorded the highest number of weekly viewers among dramas released till now in 2024. The series is written by Lee Si Eun, the writer of the series ‘True Beauty’ and ‘High Kick! 3’.
Along with the pop-up event, it has been reported that plans are being made for a group viewing event of the drama’s last episode. Actors Byeon Woo Seok, Kim Hye Yoon, Song Geon Hee @songgeonhee, and Lee Seung Hyub @sssn9_zzzn9 are reported to be a part of the event. A representative of tvN shared that the group viewing event is under work and is expected to be held on May 28. Further details of the event are yet to be released.
