NEW GIRL GROUP ALERT! HYBE will be debuting a new girl group through a survival program, ‘R U Next?‘
On June 1, JTBC and BE:LIFT LAB announced that they have begun filming for the new survival program ‘R U Next?’
The production team stated, “The program will feature 7 rounds of competition to evaluate the contestants’ potential, expressiveness, ability to ace various genres, professionalism, individuality, creativity, and star quality.”
This is not the first time that HYBE has used a survival program to debut a new group. BELIFT LAB is a joint venture between CJENM and HYBE and after the establishment of it, in 2020, they launched the show “I-LAND,” which resulted in the formation of the boy group ENHYPEN. HYBE and JTBC however stated that , “‘R U Next?’ is a separate project that will be completely different from ‘I-LAND.'”
‘R U Next?’ will premiere on JTBC and Abema TV in Japan on June 30 at 8:50 PM KST (5:20 PM IST) with 10 episodes in total.
