HYBE Announces Plans For Global Artist Debut Project In The United States & Japan

HYBE Labels has shared its plans to launch new groups.

On November 4. at 10 AM KST, HYBE via their official YouTube Channel held a briefing. Their present theme is “Boundless,” and in light of this, the company disclosed their current and future plans to expand activities.

“Boundless” was defined by HYBE as borderless diversification in four areas:

• Country and region,
• Industry and business,
• The present and future of fan experiences, and
• A strong artist portfolio.

Back in April, HYBE joined forces with Ithaca Holdings, an American artist management company by Scooter Braun. Bang Si Hyuk and Scooter Braun too made an appearance at the conference, explaining the plans they have in store and the sense of solidarity amongst all their branches. 

The discussion also included HYBE’s plans for the Global Artist Debut project in the US and Japan. HYBE America disclosed their strategies to launch a girl group by working together with Geffen Records, under Universal Music Group to achieve in finding the best global female artists. 

HYBE America plans to execute a local training system in the United States that will help in deploying HYBE and UMG’s complete potential. HYBE America will encompass their development process and milestones that transcends, national, cultural, and artistic limits, with the debut of the group. Applications are open till November 28, 2021.

HYBE Japan also revealed their Global Debut Project for a boy group which includes four former contestants from the reality show ‘I-LAND.’ The contestant are K, Nicholas, EJ, and Taki. Through an audition program named ‘&Audition,’ more members will be selected to join the group and this will be broadcasted in 2022 via YouTube. The members of this group will be trained to become world-class artists with a separate training system of their own, music production, management, and skills in marketing. 

Furthermore, HYBE Japan will create businesses tailored to the Japanese market, ranging from platform businesses like fan café management to artist IP-related businesses like spatial businesses, MD businesses, and copyright management.
