On May 26 KST, YG Entertainment surprised fans by releasing an official announcement video, where executive producer Yang Hyun Suk shared major updates on the future plans for BLACKPINK, BABYMONSTER, and TREASURE.
The video outlined the agency’s upcoming activities for each group, sparking excitement among fans for their anticipated comebacks, promotions, and concerts. While exact dates and details were confirmed for some activities, others will be unveiled soon, signaling a busy and eventful second half of the year for YG’s artists.
Starting with BLACKPINK, YG officially confirmed the group’s highly anticipated return with new music. The agency shared that BLACKPINK will be releasing a new song, although the exact release date has not yet been confirmed. Further details regarding their comeback will be announced soon.
In addition, BLACKPINK had previously announced their 2025 world tour, ‘DEADLINE’, which will cover 10 cities. The tour is scheduled to begin in South Korea, with the group performing two consecutive nights at Goyang Stadium on July 5 and 6.
Following BLACKPINK’s updates, YG also unveiled major plans for BABYMONSTER’s upcoming comebacks. According to the announcement, BABYMONSTER will release a new song titled ‘HOT SAUCE’ on July 1. YG described ‘HOT SAUCE’ as a simple and upbeat track that will instantly give listeners a fun, exciting, and addictive vibe. The group hopes to gift this track to fans so they can enjoy the summer happily. ‘HOT SAUCE’ will be a different style from BABYMONSTER’s previous releases, drawing inspiration from the late 1980s.
Moreover, YG shared that BABYMONSTER is set to release a mini-album on October 1. The album will feature two pre-release promotions, including performances on music shows. The first pre-release single is ‘HOT SAUCE’, while the second pre-release track is scheduled for September.
The mini-album will contain four tracks, two pre-released singles, and two new songs. One of the tracks will be a slower song with strong hip-hop elements. The first track of the mini-album is described as powerful and impressive, with high potential to serve as the opening song for the group’s second world tour.
Lastly, YG revealed plans for TREASURE’s 2025 activities. TREASURE is currently preparing their mini-album, with a tentative release date set for September 1. The group will actively promote their return by making appearances on music shows and various variety content. This comeback will mark approximately six months since the release of their special mini album ‘PLEASURE’, featuring the title track ‘YELLOW’, which was released on March 7, 2025.
Additionally, TREASURE is set to begin their highly anticipated world tour concerts starting in October. Following the release of their new mini-album, the group will embark on this global tour to connect with fans worldwide through dynamic performances.
YG also shared that starting next year, TREASURE plans to release either two mini-albums or one full-length album annually.
