The report follows an official announcement from WEi’s agency on May 9, confirming that Kim Jun Seo will be halting group activities.

According to Korean media, Kim Jun Seo will be among the participants vying for a spot in the final debut lineup of ‘BOYS II PLANET’. However, this report has not yet been confirmed by Mnet or Kim Jun Seo’s agency.
Kim Jun Seo is no stranger to the survival show format. He previously appeared on MBC’s ‘Under Nineteen’, where he ranked in the top nine and debuted as part of the project group 1THE9 in 2019. After the group’s disbandment in 2020, he joined WEi and has since been active as a singer. Most recently, he made his acting debut in the BL drama ‘Secret Relationships’.
The second season of ‘Boys Planet’, now titled ‘BOYS II PLANET’, will bring together an eclectic group of contestants, including trainees with no prior broadcast experience and established idols from groups such as VERIVERY and DKB. According to prior media reports, the first round of filming is scheduled for May 11, followed by a skill-level evaluation on May 12.
‘BOYS II PLANET’ arrives two years after the original ‘Boys Planet’ aired in 2023 and formed ZEROBASEONE, a group that rapidly ascended to K-pop stardom with five consecutive million-selling albums. Given the immense success of its predecessor, expectations for the new season are high.
As fans await official confirmation, Kim Jun Seo’s potential return to the survival show stage is already generating significant buzz across K-pop communities.
