tvN Addresses The Likelihood Of ‘Tale Of The Nine Tailed’ Season 3

tvN addresses the possibility of making a third season of the hit drama, ‘Tale of the Nine-Tailed.’

The first season of ‘Tale of Nine-Tailed’ released in 2020 and revolved around a mythological creature – gumiho or the nine-tailed fox. Lee Dong Wook starred as the protagonist, ‘Yi Yeon’, alongside Jo Bo Ah and Kim Bum. While the first season was set on the present era, the recently concluded second season ‘Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938’ took Yi Yeon back to the year 1938. The drama was well received and the season finale garnered the highest viewership ratings.

A post-credits scene in the final episode showed an animated scene where Yi Yeon goes back to the Joseon era, with two men chasing him and Yeon can be heard saying, “So this is Joseon?” This scene thus suggested a possibility of a third season for the show.

tvN confirmed on June 13 that they were in talks regarding the possibility of third season, but nothing has been confirmed yet. The network however commented that they are leaving the possibilities open for a new season.

Although tvN has not confirmed the news yet, this however gives hope to the fans for the hit drama series.
