Super Junior’s Siwon has been confirmed to play the male lead in an upcoming KBS drama. On 27th November, a source from SM Entertainment confirmed the news by saying, “Choi Siwon will be appearing in KBS 2’s upcoming drama called “Dear Citizens” , a Monday-Tuesday drama which is scheduled to air next year.”
Siwon will be playing the character of Yang Jeong Kook, a con man born in a family that commits fraud as their family business. The story is based on him trying to earn money to marry his girlfriend for which he decides to scam a loan shark, but ends up getting scammed himself. The drama is a comedic crime based drama where a con man who gets married to a police officer gets caught up in unplanned incidents, and ends up running to become a member of the National Assembly.
“Dear Citizens” is written by Han Jung Hoon and will be directed by PD Kim Jung Hyun, and is scheduled to air in early March 2019.
Siwon previously starred in “Revolutionary Love” opposite Kang So Ra and Gong Myung in October 2017. This will mark his drama comeback after more than a year. We’re excited to watch this drama. Are you looking forward to it as well?
