Super Junior just made history by winning the ‘Artist Of The Year’ at Taiwan’s KKBOX Music Awards.
KKBOX is Taiwan’s biggest online music site and it’s 14th KKBOX Music Awards were held at the Taipei Arena on 26th January. The award show started in 2005 and grew to become a huge music show with over 12 million people watching the live broadcast.
Although multiple Korean artists as well as foreign artists from various countries have attended the music awards ceremony previously, Super Junior is the first foreign-language artist in history to win Artist Of The Year.
The group’s 8th album ‘PLAY’ and repackaged album ‘REPLAY’ has been charting on #1 for 64 consecutive weeks since 6th November, 2017.
The group also performed some of their iconic hit tracks like ‘Black Suit’, ‘Sorry, Sorry’, and ‘Bonamana’ at the award show. Congratulations to Super Junior for winning such a prestigious award!
