‘Squid Game 2’ secures a victory at the ‘30th Critics’ Choice Awards’!
On February 8 KST, ‘Squid Game 2’ took home the award for the ‘Best Foreign Language Series’ at the ‘30th Critics’ Choice Awards,’ marking its second win after claiming the same honor for its hit first season in 2022.

‘Squid Game 2’ won the award, surpassing strong contenders such as ‘Acapulco,’ ‘Pachinko Season 2,’ ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny,’ ‘La Máquina,’ ‘My Brilliant Friend,’ ‘The Law According to Lidia Poët,’ and ‘Senna’. This milestone highlights the series’ continued dominance on the global stage.
Originally postponed due to the Los Angeles fire, this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards were finally held on Saturday KST in Santa Monica, California.
As ‘Squid Game 2’ continues to receive global acclaim and break records, anticipation for the third and final season is building. Fans are eager to see how the story unfolds following the gripping cliffhanger of the second season.
‘Squid Game Season 3’ is scheduled to premiere on June 27, 2025, exclusively on Netflix.
