SHINee’s Choi Minho is set to star in the play ‘Rendezvous’ (랑데부).
On February 28, the Seoul Arts Center confirmed that SHINee’s Minho has been cast as Tae Seob, a rocket research developer, in the play ‘Rendezvous.’ Written and directed by Yossef K (Kim Jung Han), ‘Rendezvous’ tells the story of two individuals weighed down by life’s burdens who meet by chance and help heal each other’s wounds.

The play revolves around the unexpected encounter between Tae Seob, played by Choi Minho, a rocket research developer suffering from OCD due to childhood trauma, and Ji Hee, played by Kim Ha Ri, the daughter of a Chinese restaurant owner from whom Tae Seob used to order every week. As they confront their pasts, their connection gradually blossoms into understanding, love, and healing.
The star-studded play also features Park Sung Woong and Lee Soo Kyung, adding to the anticipation surrounding the production.
The 100-minute play is set on a rectangular stage reminiscent of a fashion show runway, featuring a moving treadmill. With the audience seated on both sides, they will experience Choi Minho’s dynamic presence up close.
Previously, Choi Minho received critical acclaim for his role as Val in ‘Waiting for Godot,’ earning praise for his compelling performance in his theater debut. His success on stage has heightened expectations for his upcoming play.
‘Rendezvous’ is scheduled to run from April 5 to May 11, 2025, at the Jayu Small Theater of the Seoul Arts Center.
