Zuho of SF9 dropped “Must Be Spring or Fall,” a duet with fellow member Jaeyoon, on his SoundCloud account at 12PM KST, on 18th April 2021. The song is produced by Zuho and the lyrics have been written by him and Jaeyoon. The track is relaxing with Jaeyoon’s warm vocals, beautifully complimented by Zuho’s rap. The note by Zuho on SoundCloud includes a short message for the fans which roughly translates to, “Our lives are precious and I’m wishing for warm days. I hope everyone can be happy because of this song.”
The lyrics, on the first glance, seem to be for a lover. The song talks about missing someone and comparing their love to Spring or Fall. However, on closer inspection, it seems like both of them are talking to their fans, Fantasys. In a VLive, shortly after the song was dropped, Zuho revealed that his part of the lyrics are what he wishes to say to Fantasys, while Jaeyoon’s part symbolizes what Fantasys want to say to them. The song can be thought of as a dialogue between SF9 and the fans where each misses the other and hopes to see each other soon. As they cannot see their fans because of the pandemic, he said that he hopes that the song can convey the warmth he wishes to give to the fans.
In other news, Zuho also talked about the rankings of Kingdom: Legendary War and even though they ranked sixth, he told Fanatsys to be confident and promised they would do better.
