Buckle up for SEVENTEEN’s brand-new sub-unit V8, featuring VERNON and THE8!
On June 8 KST, PLEDIS Entertainment unveiled the producer lineup for V8’s first mini album, ‘V8’. The credits have already drawn significant attention, featuring an impressive roster of global renowned producers and songwriters.
The lineup includes 14-time Grammy Award winner Pharrell Williams, marking his second collaboration with SEVENTEEN following ‘Bad Influence’ from the group’s fifth full-length album. Longtime SEVENTEEN collaborator and producer BUMZU also participated in the project.
The album further includes contributions from acclaimed artists such as KIRARA, Mechatok, Dylan Brady of 100 gecs, DPR ARTIC, DPR CREAM, Alice Longyu Gao, Sophie Cates, Stella Smyth, and MILLENNIUM, along with VERNON and THE8, as well as several other producers from the global electronic, pop, and hip-hop scenes.

The agency stated that “‘V8’ is an album that showcases how THE8 and VERNON channel the energy of their spent youth into a renewed drive, propelling themselves forward with even greater strength. Rather than defining spent youth as simply time that has been lost, the album captures the energy to move forward, transforming the instability and precariousness of youth into a surging sense of freedom. The wandering and confusion of the past, and the moments of recovery and growth found within them are expressed through a diverse range of electronic music.”
Following the release, the sub-unit will kick off ‘2026 VERNON THE8 [V8] LIVE’ on July 11–12 in Goyang, followed by July 18–19 in Hong Kong.
As THE8 and Vernon take the spotlight as a duo for the first time, anticipation continues to grow for the unique sound and creative synergy they will bring through V8.
‘V8’ is scheduled to be released on June 29 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST).
