Rowoon Joins Kim Min Ju In Talks To Star In New Drama By ‘Our Beloved Summer’ Director

Rowoon and Kim Min Ju may be starring opposite each other in a new romance drama!

On January 21, Korean media outlets reported that Rowoon is set to star in the upcoming drama ‘Shining’ (literal title) directed by Kim Yoon Jin of ‘Our Beloved Summer’ fame. Rowoon’s agency, FNC Entertainment responded to the reports and said, “It is a project that he’s currently reviewing.”

In November 2024, it was reported that actor Chae Jong Hyeop was in talks to play the male lead in the drama, however, he declined the offer. Since then, Rowoon has been considered for the role, while Kim Min Ju is currently in discussions for the role of the female lead.

‘Shining’ depicts the story of a couple whose world revolves around just the two of them and their everlasting bond. The two first meet at 19, part ways at 20, and reunite when they are 30.

Rowoon is in discussions to essay the character of Yeon Tae Oh, a train conductor whose life changes after a tragic accident in which he loses his parents and sees his younger brother get injured.

Kim Min Ju is reportedly in talks to play the role of Mo Eun Ah, a hotelier who reunites with Tae Oh at the age of 30, where she faces major changes in her career, relationships, and life.

‘Shining’ will be directed by Kim Yoon Jin, while the scriptwriter is Lee Sook Yeon, best known for ‘On the Way to the Airport’.
