RIIZE is all set to remake TVXQ’s iconic debut song ‘Hug’ for SM Entertainment’s 30th-anniversary celebrations.
SM Entertainment is celebrating its 30th anniversary with exciting projects, including an album featuring remakes of their artists’ hit songs, including RIIZE’s version of TVXQ’s ‘Hug’. On January 6, SM also revealed a stage video teaser for RIIZE’s remake of TVXQ’s ‘Hug’.

About the commemorative album, SM Entertainment remarked, “This album will feature reinterpretations of SM’s representative hit songs by both senior and junior artists that have been tailored to fit their own styles. You will be able to experience the diverse music of SM, which has been with many [artists] over the past, in a new style.”
Reimagined by producer Park Moonchi, RIIZE’s version of ‘Hug’ blends Y2K vibes with modern sounds, featuring soft acapella harmonies and smooth vocals for a fresh, new feel, adding a unique twist to the beloved classic. The track will be pre-released ahead of the anniversary album on January 8, at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST).
The other songs in the album will be revealed for the first time at SM’s 30th anniversary concert, ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2025,’ which will take place on January 11 and 12 at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome. The event will be live-streamed on Beyond LIVE and Weverse for global fans.
This release, along with the concert and anniversary album, will be a major highlight of SM Entertainment’s year, blending nostalgia and excitement for all fans.
