Bo-ra! Deborah episodes 11 and 12! In front of her friends, Bo Ra intends to pretend to date Soo Hyuk to make them feel comfortable around her.
Bo Ra & Soo Hyuk
Bo Ra rushed over to Soo Hyuk’s car. He is told not to leave as she unlocks the door, grabs his car keys, and flees. She claims Yu Ri is only doing this to see him break down and cry. If he goes to her right away, he shouldn’t anticipate getting her back. He claims she went to the party to try to get Ju Wan back and did the same thing. She finally caves up and gives him the keys. Soo Hyuk arrives at the photo session location after being picked up by Bo Ra. Taking her by the hand, he enters the room while everyone, including Ju Wan, looks on. She introduces Soo Hyuk as a friend and colleague to Eun Ju. She shows him around the place and Ju Wan watches them walk hand in hand.
Later, when they’re eating, Eun Ju inquires about their connection. Soo Hyuk deems her cute and frankly admits to having affection for her. He even creates a tale about how he first saw her at a wedding and thought she was stunning. In the movie theatre, Bo Ra and Soo Hyuk get perilously near to one another. Bo Ra abruptly turns her head away, and Soo Hyuk quickly puts chocolate on his lips. Bo Ra and Soo Hyuk cross paths with Soo Hyuk’s parents. They presume that Bo Ra is on a date because of his cordial greetings. No one of them denies it.
Bo Ra exclaims outside about how Soo Hyuk’s parents appear to be a drama couple. She learns that the man is the stepfather to Soo Hyuk. Bo Ra asks about Soo Hyuk’s attendance at Yu Ri’s wedding. Bo Ra is asked to accompany him, but when she asks why, he responds that she is a “girlfriend,” so it’s not entirely accurate. Finally, she agrees to pose as his girlfriend.
When they arrive at the wedding and meet the groom, Bo Ra puts on a convincing play about being in love and eager to wed. When they unexpectedly stumble across Su Jin, Bo Ra pushes Soo Hyuk away. Sang Jin also shows up. Bo Ra discovers that the same hall is also used for Sang Jin and Su Jin’s wedding. Before things become crazy, Bo Ra tells Soo Hyuk to speak with Yu Ri. He does so and compliments her on how lovely she is. She claims to be more regretful than grateful. He claims to be the same, but more appreciative.
Ju Wan’s Intension
Then, Bo Ra receives texts from Ju Wan, who claims to have intended to text another Bo Ra. Bo Ra is compelled to reply as the texts keep coming in. The conversation swiftly shifts to remarks about Bo Ra starting a new relationship. Finally, he invites her to meet him. He again inquires about Soo Hyuk when she responds. He acts concerned that Soo Hyuk would act irresponsibly and harm Bo Ra. He believes they ought to be friends and claims that Bo Ra simply made a mistake when she caught him in the act.
Photoshoot
When Bo Ra, Yoo Jeong, and Jin Woo arrive at their photo shoot, Bo Ra is compelled to explain why her plus one was absent. Even the bride, Eun Ju, makes fun of Bo Ra’s drinking. Bo Ra and Yoo Jeong dress up before the group pictures are shot. Ju Wan calls to say he might not be able to attend. Ju Wan eventually arrives at the time. Everyone assumes that when Bo Ra goes outside, she will start a fight with Ju Wan. But she ignores him and continues to greet Soo Hyuk, who has also just arrived. Ju Wan introduces himself to Soo Hyuk and they engage in what is a battle for a stronger handshake.
Verdict
What a delightful episode! The fake dating cliché was handled so well, Soo Hyuk’s resolution with Bo Ra was excellent, and their steadily growing familiarity and comfort with one another is excellent. And it was very amazing to see Ju Wan’s attitude. Bo Ra’s strategy does succeed, but it’s fitting that she’s now more focused on keeping up her catfish act with Soo Hyuk than avenging her revenge.
