Singer and producer PSY has been awarded an honorary diploma by Yonsei University.
On February 24, Yonsei University released a statement saying, “We acknowledge PSY’s contributions in elevating Yonsei’s reputation through his outstanding artistic and social endeavors.” The artist received the honorary diploma during an awarding ceremony held that morning at the main auditorium of the Sinchon Campus. PSY was also appointed as an honorary professor at the Yonsei University’s Institute of Arts in 2023.
PSY made his debut in 2001 with his full-length debut album ‘PSY From The Psycho World’ and gained worldwide recognition with his hit song ‘Gangnam Style’ in 2012. In 2019, he founded his own label P NATION, which is home to several artists. PSY is set to appear alongside Megan Thee Stallion in Apple TV+’s upcoming competition series, titled ‘KPOPPED.’ The exciting eight-episode song battle series will feature Western icons reimagining their biggest hits while collaborating with top-tier K-pop idols to deliver spectacular battle performances.
