‘Pachinko’ depicts the history of war, peace, love and separation, victory, and judgment. The narrative starts with forbidden love and travels through Korea, Japan, and the United States. Yoon Yuh Jung, Lee Min Ho, and Kim Min Ha are the actors in the drama along with other actors.
The Peabody Awards complimented Lee Min Jin’s unique work, “When it was released in 2017, the book’s cover rapidly became recognizable worldwide. The intricate tale of existence and belonging in Kim Sun Ja’s life and family history, which spans the colonization and immigration of Japan, Korea, and the United States, enthralled readers.”
They highlighted the adaptation of the novel, stating, “The TV series ‘Pachinko’ effectively covers the intergenerational tale that began in 1920s Korea under Japanese occupation, blossoming into a great historical drama that breaks the melodrama storyline. ‘Pachinko’ portrays a massive family narrative across decades and its heartbreaking dramatic plots in the lifetimes that follow.”
Congratulations to the ‘Pachinko’ Team.
