On-Going K-Drama Imitation’s Boy Group, “Sparkling” is set to Appear on Yoo Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook

“Imitation’s” latest muse – “Sparkling” is all set to appear on the KBS2 entertainment program ‘Yoo Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook,’ which will be broadcast on the night of 11th June 2021.

They are reported to perform their “debut” song DIAMOND which released on 28th May 2021.

KBS2’s “Imitation” is a webcomic-based drama on the Korean music industry. A four member group called ‘Sparkling’ is the name of one such K-POP boy group in the drama consisting of three members – Yunho, San, and Seonghwa from the currently active group ATEEZ and Su Woong from the boy group Boys Republic. Who knew that the director Han Hyun-hee would bring them to reality from dramaland!

The drama has been getting quite the spotlight due to the line of cast and its conceptual storyline. There are 3 main K-POP groups in the drama called – Shax, Sparkling and Tea Party. In the drama, Shax is a popular boy group with the biggest fandom that rules the K-POP industry. They have members of the original boy groups Jongho from Ateez, Hwiyoung, and Kang Chani from SF9 and of course Lee Jun Young, Ahn Jung Hun, and Park Yu Ri as the remaining members of Shax.

The drama consists of a widespread of other idols turned actors – U-KISS’s Lee Jun Young, T-ara’s Jiyeon, former I.O.I and PRISTIN member Lim Nayoung, g.o.d.’s Danny Ahn, Yuri, Minseo, Ahn Jung Hoon, Rainbow’s Jisook, and former Baby V.O.X member Shim Eun Jin. However, it’s just the members of Sparkling who would be performing at Yoo Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook this time.

After Ateez’s busy schedule with their comeback and Kingdom: Legendary War performances, this news came as a blessing to the fans. Seems like Sparking is aiming to win the hearts of Tok-Tok (their fandom name) this time.

“Imitation” has a total of 12 episodes and so far four episodes have been released. The duration of each episode is around one hour and a few minutes give or take. New episodes will air every Friday and Indian fans can watch it on Viki. The drama released on May 7 and will continue till July 23, 2021.

Fans are getting to see the new side of their idols and are super excited. Seeing various group members come together in this drama is also bringing the fans closer to each other. Fans are eager to know how the story unfolds with the characters being played by their favorite idols!
