Ahead of its premiere, the TVING original series ‘Shark: The Storm’ has unveiled a striking ‘calm before the storm’ launch poster, teasing the inevitable face-off between Kim Min Seok and Lee Hyun Wook.

The newly revealed poster sets a gripping tone, highlighting the fierce energy between Cha Woo Sol (Kim Min Seok) and Hyun Woo Yong (Lee Hyun Wook). Woo Sol’s steady gaze and battered face speak volumes about his unbreakable spirit, while the quote, “I’ll fight—like a shark that never stops,” teases the relentless struggle he’s about to face.
In contrast, Woo Yong exudes menace with a cold, piercing look. His ominous words—“Cha Woo Sol, this is destiny”—hint at the inevitable clash and the storm of chaos looming on the horizon.
The new season of ‘Shark’ follows Cha Woo Sol, a determined young man aiming to make it as a professional MMA fighter. After enduring a traumatic past and serving time behind bars, he clings to the hope of a fresh start. Though burdened by society’s judgment, he works hard to turn his life around. However, his journey takes a dark turn when a familiar and dangerous threat resurfaces, shaking the peace he’s fought so hard to find. No longer fighting just for his own survival, Woo Sol steps into the ring with a renewed purpose—to protect the people he loves.
Lee Hyun Wook reprises his role as Hyun Woo Yong, a powerful antagonist who previously saw promise in Season 1’s villain, Bae Seok Chan (played by Jung Won Chang), and brought him under his wing. Now taking center stage, Hyun Woo Yong emerges as the mastermind behind a ruthless underground fighting ring, leading a shady martial arts organization. He handpicks fighters to fuel his sadistic empire, orchestrating an illegal league built on chaos, control, and bloodshed.
First released in 2021, ‘Shark: The Beginning’ marked TVING’s debut in original films, gaining attention for its gripping storyline based on a hit webtoon. Now, the story evolves into a six-episode series titled ‘Shark: The Storm.’
TVING’s original series ‘Shark: The Storm’ is set to premiere on May 15.
