Netflix has officially announced the premiere date of its highly anticipated thriller ‘Mercy For None’, accompanied by a blood-pumping teaser trailer and an evocative poster, both hinting at the drama’s intense storyline and gritty action.
Starring So Ji Sub in the lead, ‘Mercy For None’ follows the chilling path of Ki Jun, a former gangster out to avenge his brother’s death. In the poster, he stands alone in a dimly lit, blood-soaked alley, gripping his signature weapon, a baseball bat, still slick with blood from a violent showdown. The haunting image sets the tone for his brutal journey.

Adapted from a popular webtoon, ‘Mercy For None’ is a noir action drama that tells the story of Ki Jun, a man who abandoned the criminal underworld over a decade ago. But when his younger brother, Ki Seok (played by Lee Jun Hyuk), dies under mysterious circumstances, Ki Jun is drawn back into the shadows to uncover the truth. The poster’s ominous tagline, “The rules have been broken, and he is back”, perfectly sets the tone for the relentless rampage that awaits.
The teaser trailer intensifies anticipation with scenes of Ki Jun unleashing his fury in a cramped alley, swinging his bat with brutal precision at those who dare obstruct his path. As he tears through layers of lies and betrayal, Ki Jun’s rage becomes a force of nature, unstoppable and cold-hearted.
One particularly gripping moment shows desperate men begging for their lives, pounding on locked doors as Ki Jun approaches with chilling calmness, even walking toward an attacker aiming a gun at him without flinching. His terrifying resolve and dead-eyed focus leave no room for mercy. In the final shot of the teaser, Ki Jun, soaked in blood, whispers, “I have to end it all,” hinting at the dramatic climax of his solitary journey. What awaits him at the end remains a mystery, but one thing is clear: he will stop at nothing to find those responsible for his brother’s death.
With its gripping narrative, raw violence, and emotional depth, ‘Mercy For None’ is shaping up to be one of Netflix’s most compelling action releases of the year.
‘Mercy For None’ premieres globally on June 6 at 4 PM on Netflix.
