Netflix has finally confirmed the premiere date for the much-anticipated series ‘Hellbound’ and we cannot be more excited!
The official trailer for the upcoming Korean thriller series, directed by Yeon Sang Ho (Train to Busan) has been released. The trailer has grabbed worldwide attention because of the excitement and anticipation that it has left to those who have been eagerly awaiting this project.
Based on the webtoon ‘The Hell’, the story follows a religious organization, ‘Saejinrihwe‘, and the different people trying to uncover the truth behind the events. The series will be an emotionally charged story about survival in a dystopian reality and will also tackle the themes of greed, blind faith, cults, and violence.
Yoo Ah In plays Jung Jin Soo, the head of Saejinrihwe, while Park Jung Min plays Bae Young Jae, a producer for a broadcasting station. Bae Young Jae is trying to unveil the truth behind the religious organization, which has gathered many followers. Kim Hyun Joo plays the role of Min Hye Jin, a lawyer who is fighting against the ‘Hwasalchok‘, followers of Saejinrihwe.
‘Hellbound’ is the first Korean series to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it received positive reviews. It will also be showcased at the 26th Busan International Film Festival and 65th BFI London Film Festival before being released on November 19 on Netflix.
