The game is not over yet!
On January 30, Netflix announced that ‘Squid Game Season 3’ will premiere on June 27, 2025. Hwang Dong Hyuk, the series creator, has teased that the new installment will take the story in a bold and unexpected direction, concluding the intense journey of Seong Gi Hun played by Lee Jung Jae.

Season 3 will see Gi Hun undergo a dramatic transformation following the devastating losses he endured in Season 2. Once driven by a desire for justice, he now stands at a critical crossroads, questioning whether to continue his fight against the deadly game’s masterminds or surrender to despair. Meanwhile, The Front Man (played by Lee Byung Hun) remains at the helm, manipulating the competition and hiding secrets that could change everything.
Netflix has also released a first look hinting at the high-stakes drama ahead. One image features Gi Hun handcuffed and tied to a bedpost, staring intensely at someone. Another reveals the Front Man removing his mask, suggesting a possible shift in power. New contestants, including Cho Hyun Ju (Park Sung Hoon), Kim Jun Hee (Jo Yu Ri), Park Yong Sik (Yang Dong Geun), and Jang Geum Ja (Kang Ae Shim), are seen peeking into a mysterious gift-wrapped box, reminiscent of the show’s notorious body-disposal coffins. Meanwhile, pink guard Kang No Eul (Park Gyu Young) appears troubled, hinting at a deeper connection to past events.
