MNB Releases the Trailer of its Upcoming Drama 'Bossam - Stealing Fate' | Namaste Hallyu

MBN has released the first trailer of its upcoming historical drama series ‘Bossam – Stealing Fate.’ The new drama, set in the Joseon Dynasty, starts Jung Il Woo as Ba Woo, an unprincipled man with a mysterious identity and Girls’ Generation Yuri as Soo Kyung, the widowed princess daughter of King Gwanghae.

The plot of the drama revolves around Ba Woo kidnapping Soo Kyung for a profitable offer. However, he kidnaps accidently without knowing that she is a princess. The latter part of the story focuses on how the couple defend themselves from pursuers as an unlikely romance blossoms in an unexpected way between the two. The trailer begins with defining the term ‘Bossam’ as the practice of “secretly wrapping up a widow and stealing her away in the middle of the night to be remarried to a single man.”

The clip then introduces Soo Kyung as a ‘princess’ and ‘the king’s daughter’ with a voiceover of a small girl in the background. The first encounter of Soo Kyung and Ba Woo is when Soo Kyung runs in on him in the marketplace, where he appears to have gotten into a physical fight. That is also the introductory scene of Ba Woo, who is described as a rascal and a ‘dirt-bag’ by someone in the voiceover. The trailer then shows the kidnapping of the princess by Ba Woo in the middle of the night. However, after confirming with her, he later comes to know that she’s a princess and is seen regretting his decision.

Meanwhile, King Gwanghae (played by Kim Yae Woon) is seen commanding his subordinates to search for Soo Kyung and tell her to come to the palace immediately. In the next frame, we see an upset Lee Yi Chum (played by Lee Jae Young) ordering the soldiers to find the princess immediately as the honor of the family is at stake. In the last scene in the trailer, Lee Yi Chum’s son Dae Yeop (played by Shin Hyun Soo) is seen stopping Ba Woo and Soo Kyung with his sword. He says, “So you’re the rascal who’s responsible for this situation.” However Ba Woo is not backing down.
