Lee Jae Wook and Cho Bo Ah lead ‘Dear Hongrang,’ premiering this May!
On April 17, Netflix Korea unveiled the first official teaser and poster for the highly anticipated drama ‘Dear Hongrang,’ starring Lee Jae Wook and Cho Bo Ah. Based on the novel of the same name, ‘Dear Hongrang’ is a mystery-romance period drama.

The story follows Hongrang (Lee Jae Wook), the son of a powerful merchant, who disappears as a child and reemerges twelve years later in the Sim family with no recollection of his past. His stepsister, Jae Yi (Cho Bo Ah), who has spent years searching for him, remains doubtful of his identity and suspects he may be an impostor. As the story unfolds, it blends romance, mystery, and intricate relationships, with characters confronting harsh destinies shaped by their hidden ambitions.
The series also stars Jung Ga Ram as Mu-jin, the adopted son of the family who assumed Hongrang’s place after his disappearance. Uhm Ji Won plays Min Yeon-ui, Hongrang’s mother and the head of the Min Family Guild. Park Byung Eun portrays Sim Yeol-guk, the Chief Merchant and father to both Hongrang and Jae Yi. Kim Jae Uck takes on the role of Grand Prince Hanpyeong, a skilled artist with the finest taste in Joseon.
The series is set to premiere on May 16.
