Singer-songwriter RIKA makes her debut as a soloist with her extended play ‘Toxic.’
On July 29, the artist released her new EP that narrates the stories of toxic behaviours that are seen in romantic relationships.
Throughout the EP, RIKA sings about deep emotions like nostalgia, regret, complexities in romance, and unrequited love. The mini album draws inspiration from various artists like TLC, Destiny’s Child, BIBI, Ashnikko, and Leebada.
‘Toxic’ consists of 4 tracks, ‘Genie,’ ‘Addicted,’ ‘Goodbye,’ and the title track ‘Motels & Cheap Wine’ featuring artist DAVIIN.
RIKA is a Korean-American trilingual singer-songwriter from the Bay Area, California. She garnered popularity from her content on Tik Tok and Instagram. She went viral in 2020 after her audition for BE:LIFT, which inspired her to pursue music as an independent artist.
