Kim Jae Wook is set to make a long-awaited return to the historical genre after 14 years since ‘The Kingdom of the Winds.’
On March 24, a news portal reported that “Kim Jae Wook has joined the cast of Historical Drama ‘Song of the Geomungo: Golden Swallow’ (AKA Tangeum). He will be portraying the role of Grand Prince Hanpyeong, the only brother of the current king. Although he is well-versed in academia and has a passion for art. He has little interest in palace and government issues.”
Based on a Novel, ‘Song of the Geomungo: Golden Swallow‘ is a mystery romance drama from the period of the Joseon Dynasty, which revolves around the child of a wealthy merchant who mysteriously returns after disappearing and seeks the shocking truth. The drama will be directed by Kim Hong Seon, best known for his works in ‘Black‘, ‘The Guest‘, ‘Voice‘, ‘Money Heist: Korea- Joint Economic Area‘, ‘L.U.C.A: The Beginning‘ and written by Kim Jin Ah, with production headed by ACEMAKER.
Kim Jae Wook made his debut in 2002 with the drama ‘Ruler of Your Own World‘. He is best known for his roles in dramas such as ‘Coffee Prince‘, ‘Who Are You‘, ‘Voice‘, ‘The Guest‘, ‘Her Private Life‘ and ‘Crazy Love‘.
