Jennie releases a striking new MV!
BLACKPINK’s Jennie drops her highly anticipated music video for the lead track, ‘like JENNIE,’ from her studio album ‘Ruby.’ The track is an electrifying anthem that emphasizes her distinctive style, self-assurance, and captivating presence, featuring an intense beat and bold, confident lyrics.
The music video for ‘like JENNIE’ showcases Jennie as an astronaut in striking ruby red gear, set within a futuristic environment. As the scene transitions, a dynamic ensemble of dancers joins her, presenting a bold and empowering side of Jennie. The video is highlighted by powerful choreography and cinematic camera angles that amplify the song’s intensity.
Jennie is credited as a songwriter alongside ZICO, with whom she previously collaborated on his song ‘SPOT!’ The track also features contributions from several renowned producers and songwriters.
At midnight, Jennie released her much-talked-about album ‘Ruby,’ featuring 15 tracks that explore a variety of genres and include international collaborations, showcasing a new side of her artistry.
Jennie hosted ‘The Ruby Experience’ showcase in Los Angeles on March 6, where she performed the full album for the first time. She will continue her performances in LA on March 7, followed by a show in New York on March 10, and a final show at Seoul’s Inspire Arena on March 15.
She will also be honored with the Global Force Award at Billboard’s Women in Music event on March 29 at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. Jennie is set to make her solo debut at Coachella on April 13 and 20.
